About photographs

Applicants have to observe the following recommendations to submit their visa application form:

General information :

• Photographs of applicants must be full-face photographs as above shown.
  
• Photographs must have been taken in the last 6 months.
  
• One additional photograph to be stapled or stick on the visa application form.
  

Photograph size

• 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, head to be in the middle of the photograph.
  
• The head (from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) to be around 3 cm high.

Photograph characteristics

• The photograph must be a full-face photograph
  
• The face must embrace 70 to 80% of the photograph
  
• The photograph must be taken in colour, with a white or light-coloured background. Photographs with black or colourful background will be refused.
  
• In general, head of an applicant, including face and hair, must be shown from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin, hears to be also seen on the photograph.
  
• Photographs showing applicants with sunglasses or any other accessory hiding their face will not be accepted, except for medical reasons (patch over eye for example)
  
• Photograph of a person wearing a mask or any other accessory, preventing his clear identification, will also be rejected.

Staple the photograph on the visa application form

• Staple or stick the photograph in the dedicated space of the visa application form. If the photograph is stapled, please make sure that the staples are not too close from the applicant's face.
