Airport Transit Visa (visa A)
Chinese Nationals are not required an airport transit visa
Nationals from some countries are required an airport transit visa
to pass by an international airport zone without entering the territory
of the national country (part of the Schengen area) they have landed
to. This situation occurs, for example, during a stopover in an
international airport located in the Schengen area or during a transfer
from an international flight to another.
Nationals, from the countries listed below, must hold an airport
transit visa to transit through the international zone of a French
airport:
- Afghanistan
- Albania
- Angola
- Bangladesh
- Burkina Faso
- Cameroon
- Colombia
- Cuba
- Djibouti

- Ethiopia
- Gambia
- Ghana
- Guinea
- Guinea Bissau
- Haiti
- India
- Iran

- Iraq
- Ivory Coast
- Liberia
- Libya
- Mali
- Nigeria

- Senegal
- Sierra Leone
- Somalia
- Sri Lanka

Following are exempted from the obligation to have a VTA( Airport
Transit Visa):
- Plane crew members
- Holders of diplomatic, service and official passports;
- Holder of a resident permit issued by a EU or EEA state (Iceland,
Liechtenstein, Norway) ;
- Holders of a refugee permit issued by Andorra, Japan, Canada,
United States, Switzerland, Monaco, San Marino allowing people
to come back in those countries without any kind of restriction.
- Citizen of Burkina, Cameroon, Colombia, Cuba, Gambia, Guinea,
India, Ivory Coast, Mali, Senegal and Syria holder of a visa or
a resident permit valid to enter one member state of the UE or
EEA, Canada, Switzerland or United States.
